Following his retirement as a partner and senior member of the Insurance sector team at Moore Stephens, Michael is looking to utilise his 40 years experience as an auditor, accounting and regulatory advisor to mutual insurers in a NED role. Having held director positions as Managing Director, COO and Director of Operations, Mark's skills include establishment of Solvency II compliant practices, analysis of business planning and strategy, as well as significant experience in regulatory affairs. After a successful career in the friendly society movement over more than 20 years, including six years as Chief Executive, Martin is looking to a NED role to extend his time in the mutual movement. A chartered accountant, Martin’s first role in financial services was in finance and he held the role of Finance Director for 14 years. Working for a smaller firm enabled Martin to build a knowledge of all areas of running a society, including risk, compliance, secretariat and corporate governance. An experienced Board level Financial Services professional, having operated as both an Exective Director, and Non-Executive Director, Rob has worked exclusively in Financial Services for nearly 40 years. Rob currently holds one Non-Executive position (since July 2014) with Kingston Unity Friendly Society (KU), and now Chairs KU’s Investment Sub Committee, serves on the Audit Risk Sub Committee, and currently Chairs a Working Party to review systems strategy and potential migration to new Operating Platform. He is now semi-retired and seeks a further NED position.
Looking to use my skills, knowledge and experience as a non-executive, particularly in with-profits, in another NED role on the board or on another WPC or IGC with a friendly society or mutual insurer. I have 25 years direct experience in the life industry, including as main board executive of a well-known UK Life insurer, and have participated in many board sub-committees whilst working at three major Life insurance groups and a national Bank. I have NED experience in my current role with Prudential Assurance.
