Roger is a vastly experienced insurance/reinsurance professional with over 40 years service in some of the largest insurance groups in the world such as Royal & Sun Alliance and MetLife.
Roger is now looking to broaden his horizons as well as sharing his knowledge and experience by becoming a non-executive director.
During his career he developed many transferrable management skills in strategy, budgets/planning, legal/compliance/risk, operational oversight, financial analysis and accountability as well as product and people management.

I am an experienced Non-Executive Director with career Board Level roles in the PLC, Mutual and Public Sectors and am now seeking further NED roles.
I am currently a Non-Executive Director at the Cambridge Building Society where I sit on the Risk Committee, Operational and Conduct and Remuneration Committees. In addition, I am also an NED at Reliance Bank Ltd (sitting on the Credit Committee) and Direct Line Group Pension Trustee Company Ltd (sitting on the Investment Committee).
Previously I enjoyed being an NED of the Civil Service Motoring Association for over 6 years where I sat on the Strategy and regulated Operational Boards as well as chairing the Remuneration Committee and sitting on the Nominations Committee.

After a successful career in the friendly society movement over more than 20 years, including six years as Chief Executive, Martin is looking to a NED role to extend his time in the mutual movement.
A chartered accountant, Martin’s first role in financial services was in finance and he held the role of Finance Director for 14 years.
Working for a smaller firm enabled Martin to build a knowledge of all areas of running a society, including risk, complaince, secretariat and corporate governance. This varied experiences provides a strong foundation for the role of non-executive-director.
