Mick Stoner

I have long and extensive experience as both a Trustee of two pension schemes and director, chairman and Acting CEO of a friendly society.

However, I also bring similarly long and extensive experience as a trade union official at local and national level.

This has provided me with strong skills as a negotiator both in writing and orally,  and as a  communicator, both within the board room and on the platform at general meetings.

I can also empathise with, and thus communicate with, small groups of, or even individual, members.

These personal skills proved valuable in getting the CWFS Board's message to the membership during the recent merger with Foresters and particularly at the Annual General Meeting.

I am keen to deploy all of my extensive experience on behalf of other financial mutuals.
