We respect each site visitor’s right to personal privacy. We only collect identifiable information about you via this website if you choose to complete our Enquiries Form. We collect information only from you and not from third parties.
The information we collect via this website may include:
- Any personal details you enter when submitting an enquiry, such as name, email address, contact number etc.
- Your IP address (this is your computer’s individual identification number) and website usage information, which is automatically collected using cookies and logged by our server.
- Session information stored in cookies. This does not include any personal information and is only used to ensure that the correct analytics data is extracted from the website.
- Under no circumstances will we hold sensitive payment details, such as your card number, expiry date etc unless it is required to register for one of our events. In this case, the data is transferred to an external—secure—database and not associated with your details held online. All credit card information is collected using Secure Socket Layers (SSL).
How do we use the information about you?
Any personal information we collect from this website will be used in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws.
When you complete our online enquiry form, we may use your email address to send you information on our products, services and events, as well as our quarterly newsletter, ‘Mutually Yours’. This is done utilising the email service, MailChimp, offered through the URL www.mailchimp.com, for which AFM agrees to their terms of use. In this case, you will be offered the option to opt in/out of this service via MailChimp.
With your permission, we may also display certain information for the wider interest of visitors to the website: this might include photographs and biographies of Member/Associate Member Board members or the CVs of prospective candidates for NED roles, for which we regularly seek permission.
We use analytics information collected anonymously from the website to record interest in our website and to ensure any changes that are made to the site are made for the benefit of its visitors. We collect this information using a third party, Google, to track the usage and volume of users on our site. The information they collect is not in any way associated with the details we hold about you.
We do not pass the information we collect about you to any other companies.
