AFM is keen to support Non-Executive Directors in the sector and, whilst they are welcome to attend all our events, we aim to offer activities specifically targeted at Board level, including our:
NED Conference – our showcase annual event for NEDs which features workshops and networking opportunities for NEDs of AFM Member organisations. The 2022 NED Conference was held in London on 9 June – you can view materials from the day, and from previous events, by clicking here

AFM NED Toolkit – in April 2019, we launched our revised NED Toolkit, following an extensive rewrite to incorporate AFM’s new Corporate Governance Code and the Senior Managers & Certification Regime. The Toolkit is a long document and we have produced 3 versions:
- a pdf version of the entire Toolkit, downloadable here
- a more manageable interactive online version which allows readers to jump to, and download, specific sections
- a short form, themed version of the toolkit focused on Risk, accessible here: AFM NED toolkit/Risk
