I am a very experienced risk and compliance professional, who has been operating in the retail financial services industry for almost 40 years, with particular expertise built up in relation to Conduct Risk, ensuring fair customer outcomes, and delivering risk and compliance solutions that enable the achievement of business goals, whilst meeting regulatory standards. I have spent over 25 years running compliance and risk teams focusing on finding practical and pragmatic ways to solve risk and compliance challenges, whilst still delivering value to the business. I have worked in smaller businesses which have been disruptors as well as more established firms, so have seen how both operate. I have been very focused on ensuring firms meet the expected treating customers fairly outcomes, fully aware of the need to be on top of their conduct risks and issues, thereby successfully achieving excellent customer service, strong investment returns and sustainable business results.
