According to the recent Whitecap consulting report, 90% of AFM members agree or strongly agree that digital technology will be critical for operating effectively in their markets in the very near future.  As mutuals reflect on how best to invest in new technology, we plan to run a series of discussions on the opportunities available to smaller businesses.

Our first online session focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), and explores:

> The basics of what AI is & ideas on how AFM members could use it
> Ideas for how AFM members can start Board discussions about the opportunities / threats from AI
> Prompts for the risks, regulation and governance issues.

Sue Turner, NED of Cornish Mutual and Director of AI Governance, will lead the discussion, drawing on her own experiences, and will be joined by John Warburton, Managing Director of Konsileo Ltd, and Peter Beaumont, MD of Cornish Mutual.
