To effectively leverage this diversity, we need to cultivate a deeper curiosity about the differences and similarities among our colleagues and members. While we primarily operate within the UK, we work with colleagues from various cultural backgrounds and serve a similarly diverse membership.

Humans naturally connect through cultural similarities, as this is often easier and more comfortable. However, embracing cultural differences requires intentionality and awareness. Doing so enables us to leverage cultural diversity and foster a sense of belonging within our organisation. Understanding and respecting cultural nuances is essential for providing products and services that meet our members’ expectations. This focus has become even more critical with the FCA’s Consumer Duty requirements.
