Nick Edwardson – Macro update/outlook
Head of UK Investment Specialists
Nick Edwardson is a member of the UK commercial group. His team supports our marketing and distribution teams to articulate how the company’s products and investment process aim to add value for clients. Prior to his current role, Nick was the managing director of a successful small business outside of the financial services sector. Before that, he worked for Matrix Group in the Pan-Euro equity sales team where he was responsible for sales, marketing, and account management for Scottish institutional clients. Nick began his career as a soft commodity futures and options trader, before joining ING Wholesale Banking’s UK institutional equity sales team latterly becoming head of the Edinburgh Office. He has been in the industry since 1995 and started with the firm in 2016. Nick served in the British Army and graduated BA Hons in Russian at the University of Exeter.
Colin Finlayson – Fixed Income update
Investment manager, Fixed income
Colin Finlayson is a member of the global rates and multi-sector portfolio management teams. He specialises in global government bonds, relative-value analysis, and asset allocation decision-making across the fixed income market. Colin is the co-manager of our absolute return and strategic bond strategies. Colin has been in the industry since 2000 and started with the firm in 2000 directly from the University of Strathclyde, where he studied Economics and Finance. Colin is a CFA charterholder.
Claire Marwick – Equities update with an angle on sustainability
Investment manager, Equities
Claire Marwick is a member of the global equities team, with responsibility for co-managing our Global, International and US Sustainable Equity strategies. Prior to joining Aegon AM, Claire worked at Edinburgh Partners as a global equity research analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to that, she managed Japan long-short and long-only strategies at Martin Currie, after starting her career with roles at Alliance Trust and UBS. In a career that has seen her based in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Wall Street and London, she has been in the industry since 1999 and started with the firm in 2021. Claire graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Astrophysics and has an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is a CFA Charterholder and is a recipient of the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
