Recently there has been commentary around the concept of linking ESG investing to an investor’s mutual status. However, the incorporation of ESG as a differentiator within propositions is still work in progress for most.

• delivering a robust ESG approach to members – many policyholders (actual and prospective) are increasing looking for more sustainable organisations to do business with
• implementing an ongoing engagement programme to encourage improvements in practices
• how to effectively communicate the ESG characteristics (not just limited to climate and carbon metrics) of the investments and the engagement programme to mutual members.
