The regulatory deadline for Operational Resilience looms large for the initial self-assessment on 31 March 2022.  Mutuals may find the timing is perfect to attend a workshop to thrash out any challenges they may have found in their programmes.  It may be reassuring to find you have an appropriate number of Important Business Services or give you the opportunity to reduce them by making them more strategic.  Likewise setting your Disruptive Impact Tolerances might benefit from some assurance and benchmarking.

There are ten steps to be covered and in the workshop, facilitated by Grant Thornton, you have the opportunity to refine and revise each aspect in order to inform your self-assessment and set the conditions for success.  “The aim is to keep your IBSs within your DITs and prove it through Stress Testing”.  Hmmm, quite a lot of jargon! Andy Tomkinson the presenter, who you may have seen at the 2021 AFM Conference in Harrogate, will simplify and explain in terms we understand and that are commensurate with our size and risk profile.
